Recently Saint Louis boys participated in Sacred Hearts Production of Sister Act. The play revolves around the adventure a young diva takes on her personal journey to find herself. She is involved in a bad way with a mobster and promptly gets on his bad side. Following that she finds refuge with the police who place her in witness protection undercover in a conservative convent. There she turns things upside down upsetting the head nun. She revives the failing church and uplifts their spirits. The churches newfound fame however causes her identity to be revealed endangering her and forcing her to leave before the nuns largest show with the pope in audience. She ignores the danger however returning to the nuns to perform where the mobster catches her. At the climax the mobster is foiled by the police whereas she is able to finally perform with the nuns and the show ends. The general message of the play was positive.

In my own personal opinion I felt that Sister Act fell short in some ways. However it did excel in others. Some of the acting was sub par to the usual abilities of those more seasoned. Given the amount of experience of these actors though it was to be expected. In conclusion there were many mistakes that were made in the play, from lighting cues to obvious mistakes in lines, but the play still impressed and for that they can be proud. I though would not see the play again.
