PUBG (PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS)

PUBG (PLAYERUNKNOWNS BATTLEGROUNDS)

PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS is a last-man-standing shooter being developed with community feedback. Players must fight to locate weapons and supplies in a massive 8×8 km island to be the lone survivor. This is BATTLE ROYALE.  PUBG (PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS) came out on Dec 21, 2017, but was on early access since March of 2017. By the end of 2017, Bluehole announced the game had achieved over twenty-four million sales. This game was only on PC and Erangel was the only playable map and is now in beta for Xbox too.  Even though this game officially came out with a full release, it still has many technical issues with problems like the server. As of right now, PUBG is one of the most popular games on steam daily with 3 million players. You basically drop down onto the map of Erangel (consists a lot of buildings and lush greenery) or Miramar (a desert like city).

Once you’re on the ground you have to go through buildings in the search of things like armor, guns, and vehicles but watch out for other players that will also be searching for loot. There will be gun fights on your way to the center of the blue electrifying circle confining you and others into a smaller space to work with eventually putting you face to face with the last man alive. When you eliminate the last person and win the game, you are rewarded a “winner winner chicken dinner”

This game has the right intention but the in-game latency and servers are not going to cut it for a company that has made over $390 million. I have played this game for over 300 hours and there are times that the lag really messes up your game and sometimes unplayable. The hit register and the people teleporting all over peoples screen is the main reason why there have been a large number of negative reviews on steam.
