On January 24, 2019, the whole school came together to celebrate the unveiling of the banner. The purpose of this banner is to recognize the victory of our football team in the state championship. This is the third time in a row that our football team has won the state championship. They have been dominating the football field these past few years, currently holding an undefeated record. This season they defeated Mililani 38-17 in the State Championship.

The assembly was managed by Mrs.Vegas. Kumu Kaipo Leopoldino was the MC for the assembly. It started off with a bunch of activities that Mrs. Vegas put together, that involved every grade. The first activity was to duct tape the lower school kids, up on the wall, next was the cup stacking challenge, and finally a basketball dribble race. After all the activities were done, Kumu Kaipo called up the football team to stand on the court. On the count of three two one, they unveiled the 2018 State Football Champions banner. It was a moment to remember. This accomplishment will be remembered forever. They dynasty goes on. We ended the assembly the same way we end all of our assemblies, with the proud singing of our Alma Mater.
