Alan Jennings 20-years old

On Sunday morning, at about 1 a.m., a fight broke out and someone was shot. 20-year old Alan Jennings was shot and killed by Kapono Joseph Miranda, who was 23 years old. Jennings was shot directly in the chest and rushed to the hospital where he later was pronounced dead. Witnesses say a fight broke out because they made eye contact. A cell phone video taken that morning shows that Jennings had his hands up when Miranda pointed the gun at him. When the gunman fires his first shot, Jennings ran away and then the gunman fires another time as shown in the video. When police arrived to the scene Miranda was claiming that he was the victim. Miranda said, “You guys chasing the wrong guy.” According to court documents it shows that Miranda is trying to claim that he has a bloody and broken mouth from being sucker punched. Witnesses say the arguing started between the groups of men right before. Jennings graduated from Mililani High School, from the class of 2017. He was only 20 years old. Jennings was a family guy and a hard worker. Jennings brother-in-law said, “He never deserved to lose his life, no one does.”
