Kala’e Kong, Staff Writer
Marching to the beat of his own drum, Kala’e Kong combines his love for family, history, and a curiosity for journalism. “I’ve been a big reader since I was in the seventh grade,” shares Kong, finding inspiration in political history and biographies. Outside of school, Kong plays the clarinet in the marching band at football games and parades. Drawn to The Collegian by a love for newspapers and journalism legends like Walter Cronkite, Kong channels his interest in political affairs through compelling articles.
