Global Warming

Global warming has been affecting the world since the 19th century, with it impacting many different countries in many different ways. One of the most recent issues of global warming has been the extreme dry heat that Australia has been experiencing. At the end of 2019 and early 2020, Australia faced severe bushfires that went on for months. These fires destroyed roughly 471,971 acres of land. These fires didn’t strictly affect the land but it affected the inhabitants of the area, including many species of animals including koalas, kangaroos, and wombats just to name a few. These fires also affected many lives as it took the lives of 445 residents and their homes. These fires were caused by dry lighting which is an issue for Australia as a lot of it is made of dry locations which is also caused by global warming. These fires also caused an increase in carbon in the ozone causing more air pollution throughout Australia.

Global warming can cause more than just hot and dry weather, it can be the cause of a more catastrophic environmental event. Many new ways over the years have come to help us slow the effects of global warming. Renewable energy such as solar or wind energy can be an effective way of going green. Going green with energy has been many people’s way of helping the environment especially with cars. As Tesla (the electric car company) has been very popular and successful over these last years, it has helped bring down the use of gas cars.

Overall, I think that global warming will be with us for an extensive period of time and maybe won’t leave us, but change needs to and will happen through the years. Global warming has affected many human lives as well as animal’s lives and we need to continue the fight to save us and the earth. If we wait too long earth may never be the same and forever affect the lives on earth.
