The movie “A Quiet Place” is a thriller/horror movie about a family that must adapt to a modern day post-apocalyptic world, where they are hunted by a creature attracted to sound. The couple portrayed in the movie are actors/real-life husband and wife: John Krasinski and Emily Blunt. The children in the movie are played by deaf actor Millicent Simmonds and Cade Woodward. Sign language is used mostly in the movie due to the lack of sound the characters make trying to avoiding the creature at all cost. This keeps the audience on their feet for random jump scares in the movie.

The movie crushed the box office on its opening weekend in the United States making $50,203,562. Making it one of the best debuts of horror movies of all time. Currently, “A Quiet Place” has grossed $162,583,889 worldwide. This makes it the number one rated movie worldwide at the moment. This movie has lived up to the hype even with a small estimated $17,000,000 budget. The movie is an original masterpiece, standing out from other horror movies. Sharing a different type of communication than most of the public is used to. Majority of the movie is translated into sign language, having limited speaking roles due to the monsters sensitive hearing.
