The rapper from Compton, California holds all the potential to become a superstar in today’s rap industry. Roddy Rich has not failed to impress, anywhere from tik-tok creators and influencers to big names like Kendrick Lamar and Nipsey Hussle. Rich has the ability to flow freely on any beat, he can vocally compete, and he can create a catchy hook which are all ingredients to become a dominant figure in his generation of rappers.

Although he may have a significant amount of potential to go far in his endeavors, it’s not a guarantee. As shown in the past, when the hype becomes too much, it can crush a career. Coming from huge hits like “Die Young”, “Ballin”, and “Every Season”, there is a high expectation for Richʻs music which has also been the downfall of past artists. Although with this new debut album Roddy Rich seems to be striving for greatness and doesnʻt look to be going out anytime soon.  

So far this has not happened to Roddy Rich with his debut album opening at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200. This latest project is a perfect example for Rich to prove himself and a way to show what he brings to the table for his fans. This new debut album proves that he is one of the hottest rappers on the scene as of right now. 

Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial is a debut album that any new rapper hopes for. This album has enough appeal for mainstream listeners, but it also adds in subtle hints of his huge potential by showing off Roddyʻs songwriting ability. While his debut is not perfect, it still sets him up for future success and proves that he’s not going anywhere.
