“You may defeat me in the final vote, but you will never get me to quit,”

— Brett Kavanaugh

One of the most highly speculated investigations in the ongoing court case of Kavanaugh verses Ford. Supreme court nominee Brett Kavanaugh has recently been accused of sexual assault by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. Kavanaugh is a former attorney and presently a judge at the United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. Kavanaugh was accused of two sexual assault allegations that occurred nearly 37 years ago at a party held at Yale University.

Because this incident happened in the 1980s, members at this party including Kavanaugh have a difficult time recalling what happened. In this investigation, many of the claims were awkwardly tough to prove and had to rely on the words of others entirely. Kavanaugh insist on any investigative aid by the FBI, to help in this case. This investigation is currently underway, and the results will soon be broadcast.

During Kavanaugh’s proceeding, he delivered a speech that was said to change history: “His speech did what so many political speeches try to do but don’t come close to accomplishing,” (Kyle Smith, CNN). Kavanaugh graciously turned the tides of the argument, calling out any of the Democratic Senators. “You have replaced ‘advice and consent’ with ‘search and destroy,” said Kavanaugh. Although this was a transformative piece to the more significant argument, it doesn’t stray from the fact that he is still hated by many and accused of the serious crime of sexual assault.
