Clash Royale has been on top of the mobile gaming world for years. From the creators of Brawl Stars, Boom Beach, and Clash of Clans, Supercell brings us an action packed strategic new game mode called “2 v 2 Touchdown Challenge.” This mode is unconventional as it does not have the usual three-tower setup like the traditional game mode. Instead, four players are pitted against each other in a 2 vs 2 format on a gridiron.

The objective of the game is to escort one of your troops to the other side safely before your opponent does. The first person to score three touchdowns or the person to have the most touchdowns at the end of the three minute time limit, wins the game. With each win comes an increasingly better reward until you reach six wins. But, watch out! Three losses and you can no longer continue.

Some cards in this mode are better than others. The prince and giant are both worth the same amount of elixir, but the giant has substantially more hitpoints and only gets distracted by buildings and not other troops which makes it the optimal card in this game mode. Although it hits hard, the prince is easily distracted and does not have as many hit points as the giants.

Game modes like these are necessary to keep the players on their toes and to break the monotony. Supercell is constantly making creative game modes for their players to have fun and keep coming back.
