Mr. Takashima has been awarded the featured teacher of October. Mr. T has been inspiring the future generation of engineering and robotics students. Before beginning his teaching career, he went to school at Farrington High School. Farrington is where his first interest in robotics and engineering occurred. He said that his physics teacher in high school persuaded him to join a bridge building competition and they won and went all the way to Washington D.C.  After high school, Mr. T. went to the University of Hawai’i and majored in geophysics. While in college Mr. T. ran the robotics department at Farrington. After college, Mr. Takashima began teaching at Saint Louis School. He began teaching at Saint Louis because the administrators were really supportive of the robotics program. So far at Saint Louis, he has had an enjoyable and memorable experience.
